FOR THE WEEK OF October 17, 2016

The Radical Gospel of Grace

Print

I want you to know that God desires for you to see his goodness while you are on the earth. The goodness of the Lord comes in many different forms and grace has made that goodness available for us to experience. Some people do not understand the grace message because they have been stuck in religious doctrine for so long, the Word of God has become of no effect to them.

We must make sure we interpret the Word correctly. What we think determines what we believe, and what we believe determines how we live. When we make a mistake or “mess up” as some would say, we must keep in mind that God’s love for us has not changed and there is no mistake or “mess up” that is greater than his grace. This week, focus on having more confidence in the grace and love that God has for you and not on any imperfect thing that you have done or said.

Grace is not based on you being perfect. Grace is the unmerited favor of God abounding in each of our lives because Jesus was perfect. I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living by grace. Make this statement a confession of your own and expect to see “good” throughout this entire week and the rest of your life. My wife Taffi and I love you and we pray that you are continuously blessed by the message of grace.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for your grace. We declare by grace, through faith that we will experience an abundance of your goodness in our lives on the earth. It is in Jesus’ name that we pray and believe, Amen.

Scripture:

Mark 7:13

Psalm 27:13
