The Practical Side of Trust Part 1

Print

All believers know that it is important to trust God whether they are trusting him or not. Oftentimes the statement “I trust God” is used but how can you tell if you really are trusting God? We know for sure that the enemy will attack our mind to make us question whether or not we are relying on God, but as Christians, there are certain things we can do to verify we are actually depending on Him. This is vitally important. Every manifestation we see in our lives is a result of trust. I am going to share 7 practical ways to ensure that you are trusting God. If you are not already practicing these 7 things, once you do begin to practice them they will become apart of your nature, your natural response in any situation, and you won’t just see them as a check list. Pay close attention to these 7 things and  prepare to experience greater levels of manifestations in your life

There are seven steps to follow to ensure we are leaning on God.

  1. Do not depend on yourself.
  1. Cry out to God.

Evening, morning, and noontime I will pray and cry aloud (Psalm 55:17).

  1. Run from evil.

Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear God, and depart from evil (Proverbs 3:7, 8).

Flee youthful lusts. Follow righteousness, faith, charity, and peace (2 Timothy 2:22).

  1. Put God first in your life.

Honor God with the first fruits of your increase (Proverbs 3:9, 10).

  1. Evaluate yourself by His Word.
  1. Listen to the Holy Spirit.
  1. Rest in God’s love.

You my not follow all 7 steps perfectly, but at least you know what they are and you can use them to locate yourself in the process of growing your trust in God.

Prayer:

Father, thank you for being consistently good to us. We believe that you are for us and not again us and we trust you. We ask that you would help us to renew our minds and learn to trust you more and more each day. You are worthy of our praise and you are worthy of our trust. It is in Jesus name that we pray, Amen.
