One Ministry, One Church, One Message Worldwide
The weekly meditation scripture and inspirational nugget are designed to encourage you in your walk with God, strengthen your faith and give you a specific scripture to meditate on all week long. To get the most out of these weekly scriptures, we encourage you to keep them before you every day and apply them to your life and circumstances. Declare them daily and stay focused on them until you experience true results.
Most of us have grown up abiding by limitations others have placed around us. We’ve become so accustomed to borders holding us back that we’ve learned to limit ourselves and accept mediocrity as normal. This type of thinking causes us to pull back when we feel we’re “nearing our limits” and approaching a breakthrough. However, God wants us to live life without any limits or borders.
In the Old Testament, when the people came to the land of milk and honey that God promised them, their own thinking kept them from possessing the land. They let what they saw with their physical eyes cause them to turn back and limit the Holy One of Israel. They allowed fear and discouragement to stop them, and they admitted that they were, in their own sight, as grasshoppers. Caleb and Joshua were the only people who trusted God enough to believe Him, and the only ones who received what was promised.
Caleb and Joshua were believers; they had spirits with no limits. Like them, when we remove all self-imposed limitations, we’ll see the manifestations of God’s promises. It’s a question of whether we believe and trust God despite what we see, or doubt Him and shrink back. On our Christian journey, we walk by faith and not by sight.
To experience God’s best, we must see ourselves as He sees us. This starts with a change in thinking. His thoughts aren’t our thoughts and His ways aren’t our ways—they’re much higher.
God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think. He has put this kind of power in us, so that we can overcome anything that threatens to hold us back. We’re totally capable of doing His will, which is to live limitless lives of grace. God has no limitations; therefore, neither should we.
Lord, the world is accustomed to living with limitations and barriers. Because You have set us apart from the world, we can now live the same kind of limitless life as Your Son. We’re grateful for that. In Jesus’ name, amen.
