Going on the Offense Against Evil

Print

Life is a beautiful, precious gift from God, and He very much wants us to enjoy it. However, He never said it would be one hundred percent trouble-free. There is an enemy loose in this world—the devil—who brings sickness, disease, and fear to destroy the quality of life God wants for us. This may cause panic among those who don’t know God, but believers who trust in His promises of healing, deliverance, and victory over the enemy know better.

We’re engaged in spiritual warfare, and Satan tries to use sickness, and the fear of it, as weapons to defeat us. The good news is that he’s a beaten foe; he has fallen, and even the devils are subject to us through the name of Christ. No weapon formed against us will prosper, and we can condemn every tongue that rises up against us. This means that we’re authorized to condemn any fear-based talk of germs and viruses infecting us, because it’s not God’s will for His children.

Our words are powerful, and we’ve been empowered to use them to speak against sickness. We must remind it that it has already lost the battle. We’ve been redeemed from any and all diseases; therefore, let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the enemy’s hand.

Our healing is a done deal; we’ve already been healed by His stripes. We can rely on and completely trust these promises, because God is not a man that He should lie. The devil has no more power over us, because the finished works of Jesus enable us to overcome evil with good. We have God’s full assurance that when we aggressively go on the offense by standing on His promises, we win.

Prayer:

Father God, as Your children, we can be assured of perfect health. We don’t have to fear, because we trust that sickness isn’t Your will. Thank You for Your promises to us. In Jesus’ name, amen,
