Faith Response

Print

What do you do when a challenging circumstance comes and threatens to destroy a relationship with a friend or business associate? Or perhaps some money you were expecting has been delayed; a doctor presents you with a bad report; or a dream that you’ve been believing God for seems as though it will never come true. When life throws you a challenge that requires a response, there are many ways you can choose to respond. But only a faith response will take hold of what grace has provided and release a supernatural manifestation.

There is absolutely nothing too hard for God and His supernatural intervention. Acts 16:25-28 is confirmation of this. When Paul and Silas were in jail, at midnight they prayed and sang praises to God and the other prisoners heard them. Suddenly an earthquake shook the jail’s foundation. The prisoners were freed, but no one ran. The sleeping guard who was overseeing the prisoners was startled out of his sleep. When he saw that the prison doors were open, he assumed that the prisoners had escaped. So, he prepared to kill himself for fear of what might happen to him at the hands of those in authority over him. But Paul told him not to harm himself because no one had escaped. The guard asked Paul how he too could receive salvation. Paul and Silas were not ashamed to respond in faith to a seemingly hopeless circumstance. They chose to pray and sing praises to God as if they were already free. As a result, their faith response caused a supernatural manifestation. Are you imprisoned by your finances or relationships? If so, begin to thank and praise God in the midst of it. Someone might say, “How can I praise God at a time like this in my life?” My response: “Do it in faith.” God will show Himself faithful to you and to His Word but you’ve got to cooperate by responding in faith.

It doesn’t matter what a doctor’s negative report says, you respond in faith believing that healing was made available to you over two thousand years ago when Jesus died on the cross. It is through faith that you take hold of it. There are many examples in the Bible where a faith response caused supernatural results in areas other than healing. Exercise this truth in your life this week. Like a fisherman uses a fishing pole to catch fish that are already in the pond, our faith in what grace has already done will hook us up to supernatural manifestation.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your endless love and grace. You have given me every spiritual blessing through Christ for me to experience on the earth. As a Believer, I acknowledge Christ on the inside of me and release my God-given faith for everything in my life to come into alignment with Your promises. I am blessed and will respond in faith this week and every week. It is in Your precious Son Jesus’ name that I pray, amen.
