Believe for Your Healing

Print
Most people put staying healthy on the top of their priority list. Good health is something we all want, yet many of us are unaware of the influence our minds exert on the healing process. There’s a strong connection between what we think and what goes on in our bodies. This is a spiritual principle; ignoring it can block God’s healing power in our lives.

The healing believers have received applies to every level of our lives and isn’t based on what we do, but on what we believe: God wants us well. During His ministry, Jesus traveled extensively and healed everyone who believed. This included the woman who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years and the blind men who professed their faith in Him. The common denominator in all of these miracles was faith.

The only time Jesus had trouble was when He encountered people who didn’t believe. When He traveled back to His hometown, most of them didn’t accept what He offered, and therefore weren’t healed; He marveled because of their unbelief. People today still struggle with believing that God’s will is for them to be healthy, not sick. However, the medical community is beginning to acknowledge the link between faith and healing.

Our sinful acts don’t have the power to stop us from being healed. Under grace, sin is no longer an issue like it was under the law, because Jesus took care of that on the cross. Even when sin abounds, grace abounds much more. The strength of sin is the law; thankfully, we’re no longer under the law, but under grace.

What all this means is that God has given us authority to command our healing, by faith. We can confidently trust that wholeness is His will for us. Fully believing this positions us to receive the same perfect health that God Himself enjoys.

Prayer:

Lord, our faith has a tremendous influence on our health. Your Word of grace indicates Your will, which is that we encounter healing; believing this makes us whole. We’re grateful for this. In Jesus’ name, amen.
