February 28

“They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied” (Psalm 37:19).

Although severe famines, diseases, and economic downturns may devastate the earth, God always remains faithful to His people. We’re never without a Savior. One day every tongue will proclaim that Jesus is Lord.

February 27

“So Moses lifted his hand to the sky, and a deep darkness covered the entire land of Egypt for three days. During all that time the people could not see each other, and no one moved. But there was light as usual where the people of Israel lived” (Exodus 10:22, 23, NLT).

When there is chaos throughout the world, God will continue to keep His people safe and sound. We don’t have to be anxious when the systems of this world begin to fail.

February 26

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

Many times we forget who we are as born-again Christians. Although we’re in this world, we’re not of this world. We should praise God for bringing us out of darkness into His marvelous light

“But the Lord was with Joseph, and he [though a slave] was a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian” (Genesis 39:2, AMPC).

Corporate America measures success by one’s professional accomplishments and the accumulation of material things. However, biblical success is defined in terms of God’s presence in a person’s life.

February 24

“Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us” (Matthew 1:23).

The key to success for Christians is to always be aware of the presence of Jesus in our lives. With this in mind, we must answer the question of who is with us today. Jesus is truly all we will ever need; His grace is sufficient for us.
23Feb

February 23

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18).

We must all examine ourselves to determine what we’re beholding and how we’re being transformed. When we behold Jesus through His Word, we’re changed into His image.
22Feb

February 22

“And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others]” (Genesis 12:2, AMPC).

God promised to bless Abram so that he could be a blessing. Likewise, when God blesses us, it’s not just for us; He wants us to be distributors of the blessing. We have the opportunity to be distribution centers for God.

February 21

“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete you and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you” (1 Peter 5:10, AMPC).

Regardless of what we may be going through, we need to know that God has His hand on us. He’ll bring us out better than we were before.

February 20

“How sweet are thy words unto my taste! Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalm 119:103).

If we want to satisfy our spiritual “sweet tooth,” we must read the Word of God. It’s sweeter than honey and nourishes our spirits and souls.
19Feb

February 19

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God” (Psalm 42:1, NIV).

When we become wrapped up in the cares of the world, we develop a thirst for the Lord. If we’re thirsty today, only God can quench our thirst. When we behold His Word, we satisfy our souls.
18Feb

February 18

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole” (Isaiah 53:5, AMPC).

Many times we tolerate situations that steal our peace. However, Jesus was wounded and bruised so that we could obtain healing, wholeness, and peace in every area of our lives.
17Feb

February 17

“Oil and perfume rejoice the heart; so does the sweetness of a friend’s counsel that comes from the heart” (Proverbs 27:9, AMPC)

Heartfelt and honest counsel never goes out of style. We should never underestimate the power of wise counsel from a dear friend.
16Feb

February 16

“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weaknesses. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groaning that cannot be expressed in words” (Romans 8:26, NLT).

We don’t always know what to pray for, which is why praying in the Spirit is so vital to the life of a Christian. If we don’t have this grace gift, we can simply pray for it and receive it by faith.
15Feb

February 15

“What man is he who desires life and longs for many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit” (Psalm 34:12, 13, AMPC).

It’s important to pay attention to the words we speak over our lives; our words will bring either blessings or curses. It’s wise to ask the Lord to guide our language and communication daily.
14Feb

February 14

“[What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living!” (Psalm 27:13, AMPC).

When we’re inundated with problems, it’s tempting to want to cave in and quit; however, we can take a lesson from David. We must believe that we will experience more of God’s goodness very soon.
13Feb

February 13

“The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who Saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing” (Zephaniah 3:17, AMPC).

We can take comfort in knowing that the Lord our God refuses to remember our sins. Instead, He rejoices over us with joy and singing.
12Feb

February 12

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee” (Isaiah 26:3).

It’s easy to get distracted by everyday issues; however, we find the time to build our trust in God by meditating on His promises. When we do this, we’ll experience the peace only He can bring.
11Feb

February 11

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Jesus not only bore our sicknesses and sorrows when He sacrificed His life on the cross, He also died to bear the curse of poverty.
10Feb

February 10

“And God saw every thing that he made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day” (Genesis 1:31).

When God created us, He valued us. It’s imperative that we refuse to see ourselves as worthless because of something we’ve done. We can bring all our guilt and condemnation to God because He can handle our worst behavior.
09Feb

February 9

“Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?” (Luke 12:6).

If the Lord remembers the sparrows, won’t He much more remember us today and all the days of our lives? We are not forgotten.
08Feb

February 8

“For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counselors there is safety” (Proverbs 24:6).

Wise people get sound counsel before making major decisions. There is no wiser counsel than the Word of God.
07Feb

February 7

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1).

The blood of Jesus is the place of God’s divine protection. When we plead the blood every day, we will remain in that secret place which is out of Satan’s reach.
06Feb

February 6

“I sought (inquired of) the Lord and required Him [of necessity and on the authority of His Word], and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears” (Psalm 34:4, AMPC).

Whatever our fears are today, we must understand that the Lord wants us free from them all. We can embrace our source and seek His answers through His Word.
05Feb

February 5

“The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22, 23, NASB 1995).

As we go about our daily routines, we must remember that God is faithful and He loves us with an unfailing love. His love for us is refreshed each morning.
04Feb

February 4

“Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me” (Psalm 103:2, NLT).

Christians are to praise God with our whole being while being mindful of all of the many blessings He has bestowed upon us.
03Feb

February 3

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you” (Psalm 32:8, NIV).

If we lack direction today, we can ask the Lord for guidance. He has promised to guide us with His love.
02Feb

February 2

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5).

God promises us that we’ll never be forsaken. Our Heavenly Father has given us His Word to never reject or abandon us.
01Feb

February 1

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers” (3 John 1:2, AMPC).

God calls us His beloved. We are unconditionally loved by our Father in heaven; it’s important that we believe and receive this truth today.
