Maturing spiritually is something all Christians should aspire to. We mature not because of the number of years we have gone to church, or even how long ago we were saved; maturity requires having a personal relationship with Christ. God accepts us right where we are, imperfections and all, and promises to perfect us when He is living in us. This doesn’t mean being perfect, but gradually growing in maturity because of His influence; our union with Him is what matures us. We mature spiritually when our characteristics are made more like Jesus in every way.
