An Overview of Outreach Led by Creflo Dollar Global Missions

Creflo Dollar Ministries offers dynamic and thoughtful care to various spots in the world, ensuring that grace extends beyond Atlanta—and even outside North America. For more than a decade, one place has allowed CDM the blessing of an ongoing relationship. We are interested in leaving a mark that cannot be erased, and we sincerely believe education creates a spark that has the power to ignite powerful change. Since the Creflo Dollar Ministries South Africa office adopted the Botlokwa Primary School, situated in the Limpopo Province, we have had the opportunity to sow into the lives of thousands of learners for more than a decade.

South Africa is notorious for having an extremely unequal school system. While there has been a considerable amount of government funds invested in the South African schools, a push for quality education is hindered by ongoing challenges. For example, instructors often lack effective pedagogic backgrounds. The lack of a strong education system has led to consistent issues with crime and poverty. In many rankings, South Africa is near the bottom. CDM South Africa is therefore extremely grateful for the chance to invest in the Botlokwa Primary School.

The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge” (Proverbs 18:15, NKJV).

Over the years, the learners have come from the disadvantaged community of Botlokwa. Projects have focused on not only providing a safe, learning environment but also bringing dignity to the learners. This continued relationship with the school displays the importance of investment and time. Opportunities to sow into someone else’s life don’t go away after a one-time donation or outreach event! CDM South Africa has provided winter uniforms, basic food necessities, and installed a Creflo Dollar Ministries sponsorship board. The culture of care is consistent!

In 2015, CDM South Africa completed a report of the projects recently finished at the primary school. Among several other undertakings, they secured the school perimeters with palisade fencing to ensure safety and security. The ministry also built restrooms and renovated the school kitchen. To further provide love and encouragement, CDM South Africa also gave vegetable seeds to ensure the sustainability of the kitchen.

In 2017, volunteers brought CDM T-shirts, CDs, and over 300 school bags to the Botlokwa Primary School. In addition to supplies, students and parents received prayers for salvation, healing, employment, and marriage reconciliation. The principal, Simon Ramalanzwa, and Limpopo Department of Education Circuit Manager, T. A. Mohlopi, voiced their appreciation for the continual support and past campaigns completed by the ministry. At the conclusion of the outreach event, the School Governing Body leader, Mr. Monyamane, encouraged the students to put God first in their lives. In total, over 500 students, parents, teachers, governing body members, and Limpopo Department of Education Representatives were impacted.

An additional major outreach event occurred in 2021 in which Samsung tablets were provided to the students attending the school. With these tablets, they received the opportunity to develop technological skills and e-learning, as well as establish digital literacy.

Leilani Myburgh, director of the CDM South Africa office, provided updates on the improvement of the environment in 2022. The ministry supplied whiteboards to twelve classrooms to replace the dilapidated blackboards that made learning and illustration difficult. With interactive whiteboards, instructors attained the ability to save lessons for later playbacks. Learners also received the ability to record full lessons and share them with friends who couldn’t attend classes. Recorded lessons provide a more convenient reference point during revision, which makes grasping important points easier. That will result in better understanding, quicker learning, and improved performance due to the better connection to the internet, online tools, and information. Instructors will also benefit, as they now can support their lessons with videos, articles, images, and other learning tools.

The outreach continues into 2024! Last month, we supplied A4 paper reams for printing assignments, study notes, and other academic materials for the students and for the school administration. Twenty boxes were delivered that benefited over 300 students and instructors. Teachers and students alike expressed that they were thankful for the ministry’s continued support.

Outreach is important. Creflo Dollar Ministries seeks to exhibit the thoroughness of God’s care for other people. We are grateful to be able to help one of the schools in South Africa. By investing in the Botlokwa Primary School for over a decade, love has won again and again.
