Our Spiritual Authority

One of the things God has blessed us with is the ability to get the results we want in life. This authority is something we’ve received through His unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor. Healing, deliverance, prosperity, salvation, joy, and everything else we need have already been made available to us by grace; our faith is required to take possession of them. The spiritual laws empowering us to receive these benefits are at our disposal; as believers, we’ve been authorized to enforce those laws.

During His ministry, Jesus told His disciples to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out devils; we have the same ability He has. The power to fulfill these directives comes directly from Him. This is no small thing; our faith in the spiritual principles made available to us authorizes us to do even greater things than Jesus did. Those who believe on Him will also do the works that He did.

The spiritual laws that God established for us to take advantage of have the power to give us victory over any situation. By going to the cross and shedding His blood, Jesus replaced the Law of Moses with the law of love, which is the greatest weapon we have in our arsenal. Under grace, all the law is fulfilled in one word: love your neighbors as yourself. If we fulfill the royal law according to this Scripture, we do well.

God, one of the ways you set us apart from the rest of the world is by giving us the same ability to get results that You have. We receive this power by faith in Jesus. Thank You for loving us enough to do this. In Jesus’ name, amen.
