The Faithful Steward

Summary

Where are you presently? What is God calling you to do? How have you responded to what God is telling you? These are questions you must ask yourself to determine if you are a faithful steward.

 


  1. Stewardship is the path to doing things God's way.
    1. A steward is someone appointed to manage, oversee, or supervise the affairs of another.
      1. Stewardship makes you accountable for your behavior.
    2. A steward must be proven faithful, dependable, and trustworthy (1 Corinthians 4:1, 2).
      1. Finding a good steward is rare (Proverbs 20:6).
      2. A faithful person will abound in blessings (Proverbs 28:20).
      3. The blessing affects every area of your life-it will make you whole (Proverbs 10:22).

  2. He who is faithful with little will be faithful with much (Luke 16:10-13).
    1. The faithful steward has three characteristics:
      1. They are faithful with a little.
      2. They are faithful in that which belongs to another person.
      3. They've passed the money test.
        1. You can't serve God and money.



  3. Stewards will have to pass the money test.
    1. Do you love God enough to serve Him with your money?
      1. God is looking for stewards who are faithful with money.
        1. Faithfulness with money demonstrates that you can be trusted with true riches, which is the anointing.
