Entering into His Grace (Part 3)
Author: Creflo Dollar
Summary
Many Christians have established a belief system that is based on their own works, not God’s. They believe their faith will make God move on their behalf. They may fast, read their Bibles, and praise Him in attempts to get Him to do something for them. Doing these activities increases faith; however, faith doesn’t move God. Faith is a positive response to what God has already done. We should not use our faith to try to make God move. Instead, we should use our faith to take ownership of His Word. God has already moved. Our faith appropriates what His grace has already provided for us.
- By using our faith, we take possession of the promises God has already given us.
- Therefore, our faith is not making God move but allowing us to personally take ownership of His Word.
- While we are waiting on Him to move, He may be waiting on us.
- We must enter into His grace, trusting His finished work.
- God has made provision for everything we will ever need in life. All that is required of us is our belief and trust in Him, not our own works.
- Having received the promise that he would be the father of many nations, Abraham proceeded to sacrifice the son God had promised him (Genesis 22:3-14).
- Abraham did not rely on his own understanding. Instead, he confidently relied on God to bring His promise to pass.
- Abraham entered into God’s grace, trusting in what He had already done. As a result, God provided another sacrifice to replace his son.
- Resting in God’s finished work does not mean we sit idly, doing nothing. We must use our faith in order to obtain His promises.
